Two minutes at a time - Week 1
I've been following this blog called Pacing the Panic Room (www.pacingthepanicroom.blogspot.com), and it's author does a weekly video clip of his daughter. Every week he takes a 2 1/2 minute clip of Tessa just sitting at her high chair. So, I decided that I would start doing that with the boys. Every week now I'm going to set up our tripod with the boys on the couch and just film them for two minutes.
At the end, I'm hoping to take a bunch of random clips and maybe make a really cool collage video? I don't really know what to expect. I guess I just like sharing them how they really are. Both boys are kind of immune to the camera now, as I've been trying to improve my skills and practice is really the only way. So it's kind of like filming wild animals, it's them in their natural environment, doing whatever it is they do.
In this clip, Gabe is hiding under the blanket because he doesn't want to get dressed, so he doesn't want me to see his pj's, but he's ACTING like he's a ghost to justify the blanket-covering. And Zander's being his normal laid-back self, just sitting back, chewing on his phone. If you listen closely, you can hear Zander growl at the phone. This is my new favorite sound from him.
We've dubbed him "Zombie Baby" because lately if you sit too close to him, he'll growl and then launch himself at you and bite. We haven't really figured out why. Or where he learned this behavior. But it is pretty dang funny, unless you're the one getting bit. Which is usually IS me, or Gabe. Matt gets away from it pretty fast. Cheaterpants (Gabe's new favorite word).
